Purdue Pharma was the manufacturer of OxyContin.<br><br>The money will pay for opioid addiction treatment, prevention and recovery programs in communities across the United States during the next 15 years, Paxton said. It is not clear how the money will be distributed, including how much Central Texas communities will receive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefix.com\/unethical-side-addiction-treatment\"><strong>Texas Health and Human Services: Opioid Dashboard<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dashboard includes state-level and county level information on 1999-2015 opioid-related deaths based on Department of State Health Services Vital Statistics data. The report found that 22.9 percent of high school seniors said they had used marijuana within the previous 30 days and 16.6 percent had used a vaping device. According to their report almost half of respondents who had reported a previous problem overcame it without assistance.
